Perforce QAC supports the standalone installation of any or all of the following: the Perforce QAC for C and Perforce QAC for C++ parser components, the RCMA (Cross-Module Analysis) component, and the associated compliance modules. Subject to licensing, this allows you to upgrade a component or compliance module independently and keep your existing version of Perforce QAC installed.
In order for a particular module to be fully functional, it needs to be used in conjunction with its associated parser component, for example M2CM, M3CM, CWECCM or CERTCCM with Perforce QAC for C, and ASCM, MCPP, MCPPX, CERTCPPCM, JCM or HICPPCM with Perforce QAC for C++.
For ease of reference, the word "component" will hereafter refer to any of the above mentioned components or compliance modules.
